Do you find that come bedtime all the worries and struggles of the day for your little one come to light. I have the sweetest little girl and she is so sensitive. Come bedtime as I tuck her in she has endless questions and thoughts for me for situations that may have come to light during her day, or things that are tormenting her for the following day. Is her best friend going to be in creche ? What time will I be home at from work ? Someone didnt give her a turn playing with a toy she wanted, the list is endless really.
To help get over this we came up with the Worry Bug, Isobel loves ladybirds and red is her favourite colour (but other characters and colours can be created no problem). So each night there is a "worry" we write it down and give it to the Worry Bug. The Worry Bug loves to eat these little notes up and sometimes there is a little note left back, or even a sweet or packet of raisins. But the most important thing is once Isobel wakes the worry is gone.
