Having a giggle today trying to name our Elf. While doing so I came across this website that generates elf names. You can select to do it randomly or to use part of the family names. Give it a go and let me know what your results are:
To add to the magic of the elf on the shelf experience I made a video last night from the elf to Isobel. It was relatively easy to do and the app I used was free. I have an Huawei phone so can only download android apps, you may need a different version for Iphone or others.

For anyone interested in making a video here is how I did it:
I downloaded my talking pet from the google play store
I then opened the app and chose to pick a picture from the camera roll as I had already taken a close up on the Elf's face. If you have not already done this then pick the camera option.
once you are happy with the picture, click on the correct sign on the top right hand corner. a new screen will open will cursor makers on the elves face. move them to the correct areas, see picture below.
Once again when you are happy you have them in the right place click the correct sign in the top right corner.
you will then get a new screen again like below.
The buttons on the bottom are as follows
Record your message
change tone of voice
playback your video
share / save options.
So you press record and say your message, you can then play it back and change the tone of voice as desired. Finally the last button is to share or save your video message.
Wow less than a week to go, time is flying and our elves will be flying home soon with Santa. How are all your little ones feeling about this. My little girl is quite sad about it. This is our first year with an elf and she has wanted all of December to play with the elf. So for Christmas Eve I am leaving a note saying that as Elfie is going home with Santa and will have her magic recharged she would like to play with Isobel and her dollhouse and have a cuddle before she goes.
Below I have found some great ideas for Elf's departure, if you have any more please let me know.
I don't know about you but I am a little frazzled trying to keep up with the elves and get them in order before bedtime. Twice already I have jumped out of bed and had to move the elf. So to help out here are a few simple ideas. Feel free to share your own.
